Santrauka

This paper deals with the airfoils analysis using finite element method. The utilized ANSYS/FLOTRAN code solves the two - dimensional viscous non -compressible flow round flapped airfoil. The turbulent boundary layer effect is appreciated. Standard k - e turbulence model was employed in the computations. Verification of the calculation was carried out by the comparison of rectangle plate aero dynamical characteristic with wind tunnel data. The computed lift, drag and pitching moment coefficients are compared with existing wind tunnel data. The lift, drag and pitching moment coefficients matched well the experiments data.
