Departmental and personal expertise is applied to commissions from industry and research institutions: numerical models are developed, computational software is written, and the behaviour of structures is assessed.

Numerical models of structures

Finite element models for static, dynamic and thermal problems in ANSYS, COMSOL and LS-DYNA.

Computational software

Specialised computation programs with a graphical user interface, developed in MATLAB and other environments.

Structural strength assessment

Evaluation of pipelines, supporting structures and equipment under dynamic and seismic loading.

Model and experiment matching

Identification of model parameters from measurement data and validation of the resulting model.

Material behaviour modelling

Multi-scale modelling of textile and composite materials, determination of equivalent constants.

Training and consultation

Courses on the finite element method and numerical methods for company specialists.
