Error modelling of optical encoders based on Moiré effect

Abstract
In this study new numerical models were developed and applied to the analysis of theperformance of precision optical encoder operating in non-ideal environments. Numericalsimulation and experimental examination of imperfections in the generated waves were carriedout to examine the influence of various factors affecting the encoder accuracy.Keywords: optical encoders, vibration analysis, fringe pattern, numerical model.
